If you've been reading my 'Letters from Panama' (see below get my free 'Letters from Panama') you know I wasn't all that impressed with Panama for the first few days in the country. Then I discovered Boquete and fell in love!

That was early in 2003. I couldn't believe how beautiful and how cheap Panama Real Estate was. Nothing is further from the truth! Boquete and the Chiriqui area are still 99% beautiful green forest and jungle. The village is still a quaint little village although the ex-pat population has become more visible.
